Ahead of the 2025 Modern Claims Awards, we caught up with Leon Moye, Co-Founder of DITO Business Solutions, to discuss their sponsorship of our ‘Supporting the Industry’ category, their balanced approach to technology, human innovation, and more!
Q. Leon, we’re so delighted to have DITO Business Solutions return as the sponsor for our ‘Supporting the Industry’ category at the 2025 Modern Claims Awards! Tell me more about your company values, and how each of these factor into the sentiment of this category in particular…
A. We’re delighted to sponsor this award once again. At DITO Business Solutions, our primary goal is to deliver operational excellence to our clients. Every individual within our business plays a vital role in driving our vision and mission: “Smarter outsourcing to empower your business.” We are steadfast in upholding our core values of Quality, Collaboration, Accountability, Agility, and Employee Development in everything we do.
This commitment enables us to support the industry as it navigates the upcoming increases in the National Living Wage and employer National Insurance contributions. We understand the added cost pressures businesses are facing, and our mission is to provide cost-effective human resource solutions that maintain the highest standards of quality, helping businesses overcome these challenges with confidence and ease.
Q. Last year, you spoke of how your UK-based expertise blends seamlessly with that of the team over in Cape Town to deliver something really special. Tell us about what this collaboration looks like in your day-to-day.
A. Our collaboration between the UK and Cape Town teams operates as one seamless unit. The UK team focuses on client-facing activities and strategic planning, while our Cape Town team delivers exceptional operational support.
We stay closely aligned through regular video calls, shared platforms and real-time updates, ensuring clear communication and a unified approach.
Our aim is that our clients don’t view our Cape Town team as just a remote office—they’re an integral part of their operation, sharing the same goals and standards. This allows us to provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
Q. You also mentioned that you’re positioning DITO at the vanguard of innovation when it comes to automation, AI and data analytics – working to achieve a balance between technology and a human-first approach to service. How are you working to make this a reality in 2025?
A. We recognise that AI is a hot topic right now. Our goal is to remain as flexible as possible for all our business partners, ensuring we can adapt to their specific needs and the technologies they wish to integrate into their operations. No one business has the same vision! At the same time, we are committed to bridging any gaps with thoughtful human intervention where needed.
Q. You have so much experience within the claims industry, it’s fantastic to see. What advice would you share for those just starting out in their career?
A. I would place an emphasis on customer engagement and satisfaction—ultimately, the overall customer experience—as it is absolutely paramount. Without clients, there’s no business. If customers are dissatisfied with their experience, they’ll make it known—whether through online review platforms, cancellation requests, or formal complaints. At DITO Business Solutions, we firmly believe that with our expertise and resources, we can effectively address and fill any gaps in your customer experience, ensuring your clients remain satisfied and loyal.
Q. What are you most looking forward to about the Modern Claims Awards night, and what message would you like to convey to this year’s winners?
A. I’m excited to reconnect with familiar faces and meet some new ones! Wishing everyone a fantastic evening, and to all the winners— may you continue to set the bar high for the industry!
