Carpenters Group has marked International Women’s Day 2026 by examining how investment between women supports progression, strengthens teams and contributes to long‑term organisational success.

Reflecting this year’s International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain, the firm gathered insight from women across the business on development, confidence and leadership. The responses highlight the impact of practical support, including mentoring, sponsorship, shared experience and advocacy, in helping individuals progress and perform with confidence.

Contributors also emphasised the role of workplace culture in enabling people to succeed, particularly environments built on trust, openness and mutual support. The ability to ask questions, challenge established ways of working and put oneself forward for opportunity was consistently linked to confidence and growth.

Experience and perspective were identified as key drivers of effective leadership, alongside the importance of balance, resilience and learning through challenge. At senior level, the reflections focused on consistency, preparation and reliability as essential foundations for progress, particularly during periods of change.

The article concludes that when women invest intentionally in one another, the benefits extend beyond individual careers, shaping stronger teams, a more inclusive culture and sustainable progress across the business.
