It’s back due to popular demand – Tour de InsurTech! With more riders than last year, comprising new and old faces, Tour de InsurTech 2022 will cover 320 miles (515 km), providing the opportunity for those with a background in insurance to come together and share their passion for cycling and all things insurtech!
A total of 42 riders will take part in the seven stages covering London, Tunbridge Wells, Nottingham, Bristol and Reading, testing themselves across a range of slow, medium and fast terrains, from 12 September to 19 September. This time around there are 19 additional riders with 14 familiar faces returning to face the action… and the carefully planned cake stops… after taking part in last year’s inaugural event.
Inspired by the Genasys co-CEOs’ love of cycling, and recognising that there was a space for like-minded industry professionals to come together after periods of lockdown during the pandemic, to have fun while cycling around beautiful parts of the UK, the event clearly struck a chord.
André Symes, co-CEO at Genasys, says:
“We can’t quite believe that Tour de InsurTech is back this September, supported again by some of the coolest people in insurtech, and we’re loving it! While it’s an opportunity for all the riders to test their fitness and share their love of cycling, our event is about getting together in a unique setting to have a laugh, while also enjoying the headspace that cycling creates.
Insurtech is all about people working together with a genuine commitment to address issues impacting the insurance industry and its diverse range of customers. Great ideas often spark in unusual settings and from informal conversations away from the parameters of ‘work’, so there’s the very real possibility that this year’s team of riders could develop ideas and collaborations which could positively support the evolution of our industry. It’s an exciting prospect!”
