Gemini Accident Repair Group celebrate the future stars of the industry at the Gemini Apprentice Awards 2022

Gemini Accident Repair Group recently celebrated the future superstars of their organisation and the accident repair industry, at the Gemini Apprentice Awards 2022! This event was hosted by Mark Hadaway, Managing Director, I Love Claims and Dave Sargeant, Managing Director, Gemini Accident Repair Centres at the CBS Arena, Coventry, following the I Love Claims Motor Claims & ARC360 Showcase Event.

The event recognised the outstanding achievements of the apprentices, celebrating in the presence of 83 Gemini apprentices, the wider Gemini team and key industry influencers from across the repair industry.

The event witnessed the first cohort of 22 apprentices be awarded their certifications for successfully completing their apprentice journey through achieving their end point assessments! These individuals experienced a delay in their apprentice journey due to effects of COVID, so it was an extraordinary celebration for so many to achieve what they had worked so hard for over the last five years.

The event featured an exciting panel discussion revealing a true insight into an apprenticeship and apprentice journey at Gemini. Amongst the apprentices on stage were key industry influencers, Mike Golding, Network Manager, LV= Insurance and Dean Lander, Head of Repair Sector Services, Thatcham Research, who both explained the importance of apprenticeships to an organisation and showcased opportunities and career potential within the industry.

The evening ended with awarding 16 apprentices from the 83 across the group for their outstanding work and successes to date. There were nominations received from across the group for the 16 award categories. Each award was sponsored by companies and their representatives from the industry, it was extraordinary for them to all be involved and witness the talent for what could be the industry’s future leaders.

Dave Sargeant, Managing Director, Gemini Accident Repair Centres, commented:

We are all extremely proud of the endeavour and determination displayed by our apprentices over the past five years and that they are receiving the recognition they deserve for their achievements. It is so important for us to showcase the talent and future stars of our organisation; I am extremely proud of all of them for the journey they have undertaken and especially to those that have now qualified.

With 130 people in attendance, from the apprentices in the Gemini business, team members from the wider group and sponsors, the evening was a great success and certainly one to remember for all.

It was also announced that Gemini Accident Repair Group, have again made the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers for 2022 list, being awarded 70th place. More than 500 employers entered for 2022 rankings which celebrate England’s outstanding apprenticeship employers.
