The Vella Group, one of the UK’s largest independent repair groups, has announced that it has certified as Carbon Neutral in accordance with PAS 2060.

The Group achieved this certification back in April 2021, becoming one of the first repair groups to achieve this in the UK.

Working with ECA Business Energy, the Group are now implementing a carbon management plan to further reduce emissions and work towards becoming net zero.

This accreditation is part of the Group’s wider plan to become as environmentally friendly as possible and they have already installed new features across their sites including energy efficient lighting, and electric car charging ports.

Marc Holding, Managing Director, said, “We became Carbon Neutral accredited at the start of the year, but we still have work to do to reduce our impact on the environment and have ringfenced investment specifically to develop our repair centres to support this.”

Steve Silverwood, Managing Director, ECA Business Energy, added, “The Vella Group have always taken energy and the environment seriously with numerous initiatives being implemented over recent years as part of their overall environmental strategy. We are delighted to have supported them on becoming Carbon Neutral and we look forward to helping them on their onward journey to Net Zero.”
